Science Everywhere

Posted on August 24, 2017

Science Everywhere is an annual event for children and “youths of all ages” that is part of the North Carolina Science Festival. It is hosted each spring by UNCG’s Research and Instruction in STEM Education (RISE) Network and the School of Education. The event began in 2015, and has grown to 70 exhibits and dozens of hands-on activities spread across UNCG’s campus. Activities in recent years have included a show in the planetarium, the use of ground penetrating radar to see what lies beneath their feet, making a DNA necklace, launching paper rockets, and building with a life-size tinker-toy set. The 2017 Science Everywhere event drew an estimated crowd of 4500 people.
