School of Health and Human Sciences

The School of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro was established in 2011, when the former Schools of Human Environmental Sciences (HES) and Health and Human Performance (HHP) merged into one. The school was originally comprised of seven departments, but has grown to now included ten departments. Not all of the departments in HES and HHP merged with the new school, as The Department of Consumer Apparel and Retail Studies became part of the Bryan School of Business and Economics, and the Department of Interior Architecture became part of the College of Arts and Sciences. Celia Hooper, who had been the Dean of HHP since 2008, became the first Dean of the new School of Health and Human Sciences.
