The Middle College at UNCG was established 2011 and is a high school, where enrolled students can graduate with up to two years of transferable college credit, and a high school diploma. Middle College students attend classes full-time on the UNCG campus. The Middle College at UNCG is small and highly selective, with only 50 students enrolled per class, for a total of 200 across all four years. It also has a special health and human sciences orientation to its curriculum, and in addition to diplomas and college credit earned, students can explore a variety of careers in health and human sciences. This exposure to a health career is aided each Friday, as students shadow at hospitals and other health agencies in the area to learn career skills, work place etiquette, and leadership skills.
