Herring Garden

The Herring Garden was donated by Dr. William Herring as a living memorial to his wife, Elizabeth, and dedicated in October of 1999. Dr. and Mrs. Herring had a long association with the School of Music (now School of Music, Theatre, and Dance), both serving as officers in the Musical Arts Guild. Located on the south side of the Music Building, the design of the Garden has forms and rhythms which relate to music and includes a reflection pool and fountain.
