Dale Schunk

Dale Schunk is a professor in the School of Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) and served as Dean of the School of Education at UNCG from 2001 to 2011. Schunk received his B.S. in psychology from the University of Illinois-Urbana in 1968, his M.Ed. from Boston University in 1974, and his Ph.D. in educational psychology from Stanford University in 1979. From 1979 to 1986, he was a professor of educational psychology at the University of Houston, and from 1986 to 1993, held that same post at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  From 1993 until his coming to UNCG in 2001, Schunk was a professor and head of the Department of Educational Studies at Purdue University.
