UNCG’s Center for Critical Inquiry in the Liberal Arts was established within the College of Arts and Sciences in 1989 to foster cross-disciplinary curricular planning, research, discourse and community. The Center houses various liberal studies programs including the Honors Program and the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies. Dr. Henry Levinson, associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, served as the center’s first director.
