The UNCG Humanities at Work (H@W) program provides paid internships to undergraduate humanities majors. It is funded by a generous grant from the Mellon Foundation. Students in the program work in small teams with local community partners to learn how to leverage their humanities degree beyond the classroom. The hands-on, project-based internships will support the partner sites in their missions to aid the Greensboro community.
The program is twofold: half consists of in-class workshops and instruction, and the other half is hands-on internships in the local community. Students have the opportunity to work with many community partners, such as the Greensboro History Museum and the Jay Mack Community Foundation.
