Seeking means to support the humanities and foster connections between faculty, students and the community, Drs. Jennifer Feather and Lisa Levenstein created the Humanities Network and Consortium in 2015. Since its inception, HNAC has brought together scholars from a wide variety of disciplines to promote faculty research and to engage the broader public. HNAC supports collaborations that amplify and offer connections throughout all the humanities.
HNAC heads three key initiatives at UNCG: the Community Placemaking Action Lab, Humanities at Work, and The Liberal Arts Advantage. All programs exist for the purpose of building community and support for the humanities on campus and beyond.
