The Baseball Stadium was opened in 1999 and seats 900. The stadium was designed by Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum, Inc., of Kansas City, Missouri, and Hayes Seay Mattern & Mattern of Greensboro, North Carolina. The two entrance gates, created by sculptor Jim Gallucci from painted steel pipe and round bars, were completed in 1998 and are titled “Play Ball.” The back wall of the press box has a brick relief sculpture titled, “Play at the Plate,” that was created by sculptor Brad Spencer, a UNCG alumnus. The brick relief artwork was dedicated to Stanley and Dorothy Frank in honor of their longtime support of the University.
